A simple version
A responsible panda visit is an observation experience. At an official base, watch keepers prepare bamboo, learn how habitats are managed and allow the animals space. Hands-on feeding or close contact is only allowed when an official programme explicitly says so; never buy private “touch a panda” promises.

Make it happen
- Reserve through the official base or an authorised ticket channel and check opening time; mornings are usually the most active.
- Go early, wear quiet shoes and follow the one-way route. Bring water, sun cover and a translation of the base address.
- Read the keeper signs and watch from the rail. Do not tap glass, use flash or feed animals.
- After the visit, pair the base with a Chengdu tea house or a relaxed lunch rather than another rushed attraction.
